First I must give a big THANKS to the following people for making my day with wonderful packages:

Queen T
Barbara (crochet swap)
My secret pal (the Rowan ribbon twist yarn and book is breath taking!)

This is for my readers who care to know (that includes you secret pal):

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer high-end/natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand?
Or is it all the same to you?

I use to be a snob for a short period of time. Then I broke down and worked with a few acrylic blends that are absolutely fabulous! However, I still love my natural fibers and that will never change.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?

A very nice lady taught me how to crochet when I was 10yrs old. Since then, I’ve been hooked 🙂

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

I’m only allergic to tomatoes as far as I know. There are times when pollen irritates me. Smoke can be an irritant too.

4. How long have you been knitting?

3 years and going strong!

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
I’m working on one as you are reading this.

6. What’s your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
Light and somewhat fruity and flowery scents. Anything feminine. I absolutely love the smell of China Rain. Anyone familiar with it?

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
Who doesn’t???

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
Scrapbooking on occasion, but I’m not a pro. I just started making stitch markers which will be for sale hopefully by the holidays. I’m thinking about making my own knitting needles. I’ll keep you posted on that one.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s?
My fiancee and I are very IT savvy which means we have all the latest gadgets and can pretty much support any form of media. I love hindi, alternative, rock, hip hop, r&b, reggae/rockers, soca and calypso, movie soundtracks, some techno.

10. What’s your favorite color? Or–do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?
I love vibrant colors that make a statement. Black always helps brite colors pop a little more too.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I have a wonderful fiancee who supports my knitting habbit on occasion. He has a truly beautiful daughter (my soon to be step daughter) and we have a few schools of fish 😀

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)

I would like to own a yarn/book store.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
Merino wool, cotton, wool cotton, silk and linen.

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
100% acrylic. BLAH! Although I love the new Caron Soft brites *shhhhhhhhhhhhhh* LOL!

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
Multicolored scarves, skirts and washcloths; they’re great to exfoliate with!

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Wow, there are quite a few. I would have to say at the moment it’s skirts for little girls 😀

17. What are you knitting right now?
A sweater, a toddler skirt, a wascloth and a multidirection scarf.

18. What do you think about ponchos? (this is really a curiousity question for us)
They’re trendy and good for the moment. I must say I’ve seen some beautiful ponchos but I’m wondering if they’ll be in style for a while. We’ll see.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Circulars. They’re no brainers.

20. How did you learn to knit?
A friend of the family showed me when I was young, but I was too hooked on crochet. 3 years ago, I worked at a yarn shop and that’s where my addiction for knitting began. I learned from books and customers.

21. How old is your oldest UFO?
4yrs. It’s a thrown together blanket that shows the union between knit and crochet.

I will post picks of all the goodies I’ve received in the mail for the past few weeks. I need to go rest and fight this horrible, never ending cold in my system. Wish me luck!
